A Relational Approach to Supervision

Supporting the Clinician and the Clinical Work

Clinical supervision is more than reviewing cases or developing techniques. It is a collaborative space for thoughtful reflection, clinical growth, and the ongoing development of your professional identity.

At Hope in Harmony, supervision attends to both the practical demands of clinical work and the relational experiences that shape how we show up with clients. Together, we explore clinical decisions, patterns, strengths, uncertainties, and opportunities for growth in an environment grounded in respect, curiosity, and meaningful dialogue.

Guiding Values

Three Values That Shape the Process

Confidence

Strengthening clinical judgment, professional capacity, and trust in your developing voice as a clinician.

Congruence

Supporting alignment among your values, professional identity, clinical understanding, and therapeutic presence.

Curiosity

Approaching complexity, difference, uncertainty, and feedback with openness rather than the pressure to have every answer.

Reflective & Applied

From Reflection to Clinical Practice

My approach to supervision is relational, integrative, and responsive to the developmental needs of each clinician. It draws from attachment and psychodynamic perspectives, person-centered principles, Restoration Therapy, and neuroscience-informed understandings of relationships and change.

Supervision can include case conceptualization, ethical and professional decision-making, treatment planning, therapeutic use of self, relational dynamics, cultural humility, and the parallel processes that may emerge across client and supervisory relationships.

Insight matters, but reflection becomes especially valuable when it informs how we practice. Our work emphasizes connecting thoughtful exploration with intentional clinical choices and greater flexibility in the therapy room.

Meet Your Supervisor

Dr. Alecia Joyce Kidd

DMFT, LMFT, LPC, ACS
AAMFT Approved Supervisor

As a clinician, educator, and supervisor, I approach supervision as a relationship that supports professional development while making room for the complexity of real clinical work. I value honest conversation, collaborative exploration, and a balance of support and challenge.

Determining the right supervisory fit is an important part of the process, and I welcome the opportunity to explore your professional goals, developmental needs, and expectations for supervision.

Whether you are beginning your clinical journey or seeking continued growth as an experienced clinician, supervision offers a space to reflect, deepen your understanding, strengthen your clinical voice, and grow with confidence, congruence, and curiosity.
